The children are delighted to be back after the half term break.  We have started our fantastic new topic – “May the Force Be With You”

We have been exploring push and pull forces.  We really enjoyed the chance to bring in objects from home to discuss and share with each other how they move.

This half term is so exciting with the build up to Christmas and the opportunity to be creative with light, colour and of course glitter.

We have already enjoyed exploring the beautiful work of Van Gogh Starry Night.  Didn’t the children create some wonderful masterpieces of their own?  We are particularly proud that our work has been displayed at reception for everyone to see.

This week we have also enjoyed creating our own Christmas stamp to add to the wonderful reindeer that will be on display at Bloomfields, look out for ours there.

Class: P3CA

Hello and welcome to Primary Three Corbett/ Arbuckle!

It has been a wonderful start to the year and the children are enjoying our first topic of “Celebrations”.

We have used our Let’s Celebrate Topic to celebrate ourselves, our families, and our Wonderful World.

Primary Three is the beginning of Key Stage 1.  We are building on all our wonderful play based learning from Foundation Stage.  We use our amazing open area to facilitate Activity Based Learning related to all areas of the curriculum. 

As the weather has been kind to us, we have been able to extend our learning to the outdoors in Primary 3.  The children especially enjoy our Courtyard with its mud kitchen and soil pit. The children have used super imagination to create some art in the outdoors. Designing leaf and twig animals within our Eco Garden.

 In October we have been very fortunate to visit Clandeboye Forest Rangers for our class visit.

The children were able to learn about trees, woodland animals and build skills in team work and problem solving all within the beautiful surroundings of Clandeboye Estate.

P3 CA are delighted to have been awarded “Class Act” in assembly and have had our friendly ‘Mojo Monster’ come and spend the week in our classroom.   Well done everyone!
