DIGITAL APPLICATIONS FOR CHILDREN STARTING P1 IN SEPT. 2020
The Education Authority (EA) are continuing online applications for admission to Primary 1 for the September 2020 intake.
A portal for parents, to apply online for a place, will be used requiring parents to list preferences of schools. This replaces the previous paper based application form.
For the forthcoming academic year, parents will still need to provide their child’s birth certificate directly to the first preference provider/school at the time of application. Some providers will also seek other verification documents at this stage in the process and it is important that you supply these to your first preference school, even if they are not the school requesting them.
Information on the procedures for school admissions in September 2020 will be available on this website and the EA website from Thursday 19 December 2019.
Last year, EA provided Assisted Digital Support for parents and users of the system. This was in the form of a telephone service, enhanced website content and a number of face-to-face drop-in clinics held in EA offices and other locations during January.
We will provide updates as we receive further information from the EA.
