DIGITAL APPLICATIONS FOR CHILDREN STARTING P1 IN SEPTEMBER 2021
The Education Authority (EA) manage a system of online applications for admission to Primary 1.
The portal for parents, to apply online for a place, is used and requires parents to list preferences of schools. This replaces the previous paper based application form.
For the forthcoming academic year, parents will need to upload their child’s birth certificate directly to Education Authority portal. Some providers will also seek other verification documents at this stage in the process.
Information on the procedures for school admissions in September 2022 will be available on this website and the EA website from Friday 17 December 2021.
Last year, EA provided Assisted Digital Support for parents and users of the system. This was in the form of a telephone service, enhanced website content and a number of face-to-face drop-in clinics held in EA offices and other locations during January. Keep an eye on the EA Website for details of this service.
