Uniform

        Uniform Policy

In common with other schools in North Down, we would like all children to wear the designated

school uniform and would ask you to help us achieve this aim. If for some reason your child cannot

wear the uniform, we would ask you to send a note to the class teacher. This will avoid embarrassment

for all concerned. The school uniform is:

  • School sweatshirt with logo (Maroon)
    worn over:
  • Yellow Polo-shirt – (with or without logo which should be in maroon only)
  • Grey skirt or pinafore worn with maroon socks or tights
  • Grey trousers worn with black/grey socks
  • Black school shoes

We would request that hair colouring is kept to natural shades.

            Suppliers:

  • James Baillie, 27 High Street, Bangor, 028 9127 0412
  • D Crawford, 21 Francis Street, Newtownards, 07801343505
  • Roberts School Wear, 24 Central Avenue, Bangor, 028 9127 0516

Please note: The school does not take or handle enquiries or orders for uniform.

           Please contact the suppliers directly.

          Summer Term:

          Children may wish to wear a red and white striped school dress. (The striped dress is preferable;

however, should this be a problem red gingham is an option) or wear grey shorts.

(These can be purchased from the above suppliers and also most supermarkets).

School sweatshirt or a white cardigan and white ankle socks or maroon socks can be worn with the dress.

         School shoes as normal

           PE Kit

On PE days, children should come to school dressed for PE and will remain in their PE kit all day.

    • White polo shirt
    • Black shorts / black jogging bottoms (black only and no logos or decor)
    • Ballymagee jumper should be worn over their polo shirt
    • Trainers should be worn to school and a pair of plimsolls will remain in school which the children will be able to change int0

If it is not possible for your child to wear the PE uniform as detailed, they should come in their normal uniform and can change    for PE.

Unlike most schools in the area, we have not opted for a branded PE kit to keep cost down; given the simplicity of the PE       uniform it should be easy to purchase the items at low cost and so we would respectfully ask that you adhere to the Uniform   Policy.

  Jewellery

Jewellery should not be worn to school as there is risk of loss. There is also a danger at playtime and during PE for

those wearing earrings. Earrings, if worn at all to school, should be stud type only.
