PRE-SCHOOL ADMISSIONS TO BALLYMAGEE NURSERY 2024 - 2025

The Department of Education has determined the total enrolment number for Ballymagee Nursery Unit to be one class of 26 children; part time provision from 9 - 11:30am daily.

Where we have more applications than places available, we apply our admissions criteria to determine allocation of place. Criteria are set by the Board of Governors and reviewed annually. They are available from the School and the Education Authority websites.

Occasionally, a  place becomes available in the Nursery, outside of the Open Enrolment process, and parents who are interested in their child moving to Ballymagee Nursery should make contact through the school office, in the first instance, to check availability of space.

DIGITAL APPLICATIONS FOR CHILDREN STARTING NURSERY IN SEPTEMBER 2024

The Education Authority (EA) manages the process of online applications for admission to Pre School.

A portal for parents, to apply online for a place, is used and requires parents to list preferences of schools. This replaces the previous paper based application form.

For the forthcoming academic year, parents will need to upload their child’s birth certificate and any other supporting documents required to the Education Authority portal. Those applying under the 'socially disadvantaged criterion' will also need to submit their benefit verification.
