Welcome back to half term 2 in Primary 2!
We were excited to get back and start our new topic, Journeys. We have a fantastic Journeys open area to play in with an airport in it!! We can make passports and check in travel bags. We even have a Spaceship corner in our classroom for a journey to Space.
Our first book was ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. We loved joining in and watching the author Michael Rosen tell the story online. We chatted about how amazing authors are when they write their stories. Then to our surprise we had an actual author come to visit us in P2. Colin Millar came to read his story ‘Clever Little Duckling’. He also showed us a song to sing with our Bear Hunt story. We loved having him to visit.
We really enjoyed Friendship Week. This year we were thinking about ‘Make a Noise About Bullying’. We completed lots of activities about friendship and what to do if we witness or experience bullying.
We loved Pudsey Day when we all wore our own clothes to school. We looked ‘Spotacular’. We even had Pudsey visit our assembly and classrooms to remind us about donating to those in need.
We are especially excited about visiting The Ark Farm during our Journeys topic for their “Christmas Experience”. We are now practising hard for our Nativity too.

Hello everyone and a BIG happy welcome to Primary 2!
What a great start to the year we have had and we are so proud of how easily the children have settled. This year we will have fun learning with our topics :

We are especially excited about visiting The Ark Farm together during our Journeys topic for their “Christmas Experience”. We will also be stars on stage for our Christmas Nativity. After Christmas, we will have a special visitor during our Fairyland topic – it makes learning truly magical but we don’t want to spoil the surprise at this stage.
In P2, we will have fun learning a range of subjects in a multi-sensory way – from Phonics and Disco Dough to Bee-Bots and Outdoor Numeracy Trails.
We will keep you updated with all of our learning through pictures and videos uploaded to Dojo regularly.
We look forward to getting to know you all more this year.
