Healthy Living!
P5R have been learning all about maintaining a healthy lifestyle! We have discussed the importance of a balanced diet, personal hygiene, regular exercise, sleep and taking care of our mental health!
The children have created a still life painting of fruit and vegetables, explored labels of food packaging, enjoyed a visit from the Dairy Council, made their own personalised bags using fruit and vegetable to print patterns and so much more!
The children also wrote, rehearsed and recorded their very own Healthy Living Rap! Check them out!

Merry Christmas from P5R!
Volcanoes!
P5R have enjoyed learning all about the explosive topic of Volcanoes!
We have painted Red Fuji by Hokusai in Art, studied different volcanoes around the world and even made a pumpkin volcano erupt!
Of course, it has been a busy half term in the lead up to Christmas and performing in our P5/P6 Christmas Concert as well but we have enjoyed our first full term in Primary 5 and Key Stage 2.

Life in Space!
P5R have had a super start to the new school year! We are exploring all about the topic of Space and learning lots about our Solar System.
Did you know that Jupiter is the largest planet? Did you know that the highest mountain in our Solar System is found on Mars? Did you know that you can remember the order of planets by this fancy rhyme? My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming Planets!
In our Narrative writing, we have been writing a story about an alien adventure. We have remembered to start our stories in an interesting way, remember lots of adjectives and even use speech marks to show when the characters are talking.
