Activities are designed to cover many of these areas simultaneously, rather than being broken into distinct, subject areas. Amongst other learning outcomes, the activities are designed to stimulate children's natural curiosity and offer them the chance to explore and enjoy natural materials. Their understanding and use of language is enriched and they are helped to observe, listen and concentrate. Through the activities, children will develop muscular strength and coordination and the development of manipulative skills is encouraged.
